I'm so overwhelmed right now. PAWS has just received word of an anonymous donation (through Petfinder's "Sponsor Me") of $100 for Andrew. This amount goes a tremendous distance in paying for his transport to Angel's Gate in New York and his vet bills prior. I believe this donation came all the way from the state of Washington. To whoever did this wonderful thing... thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Andrew did make his trip safely on Saturday. On the way to Nashville, he really charmed the socks off my Mom, who bless her heart, did most of the driving to the airport. Andrew was perfectly content in his crate with his little bed and toys. Not a cry or a fuss, not once. When we said goodbye at the cargo terminal, he was purring and making eyes at the nice lady who was going to stay with him until take off.

As soon as Andrew landed at La Guardia, his new caretaker, Victor from Angel's Gate, telephoned to let us know Andrew made it and was doing very well. If you are not familiar with Angel's Gate, please visit their website. Susan and Victor are special special people.

Andrew was my first foster kitten through PAWS. I have just been so impressed by the people at Shoals PAWS. So many of their people participated in Andrew's rescue. From bringing him in, finding donations, putting him up on the websites, to arranging is transports, getting his vaccinations, medical opinions, endless phone calls, emails and so much more. Many good people, only a few of who are Cary, Jenny, Marsha, Marilyn and Michelle. Once Cary picked him up, I think Andrew knew he had nothing to worry about.
